Nexogon House – Micropolis Block #111

Saturday, 30th March 2019 By Caz

Nexogon House is part of Micropolis University Science Park development. It was built around the Nexo-shield holder piece, the catchily-titled “Plate, Modified 6 x 6 Hexagonal with Pin Hole”, part 27255, which is more commonly known as a Nexogon.

Twirling Towers – Micropolis Block #110

Wednesday, 27th March 2019 By Caz

The Micropolis Planning Department seem to be the only part of the local government which is outgrowing their existing premises. So they commissioned a state-of-the-art new development for themselves – no expense spared! One of the things which was demanded of the architects was that the block should have a 360 degree panoramic view acros the city. The structural engineers have come up with a cunning plan – to make all three towers rotate simultaneously so that nobody can say they can’t get a good look at the streets below.

Carmine Heights – Micropolis Block #109

Monday, 25th March 2019 By Caz

Carmine Heights is an office block which sits in the heart of downtown. It is another example of a design where using many blocks of the same shape has worked to give a larger and more interesting overall build. It consists of 10 cubes, each of two floors, which are connected vertically by transparent round 2×2 bricks, making them appear to float on top of each other. The four stacks increase in height from the rear, growing from a one cube stack to four.

Benny’s Space Bar – LEGO Blockville MOC #9

Monday, 18th March 2019 By Caz

This MOC is in the Ninjago District of my custom LEGO City Blockville.. I started it in January & made a couple of shops separated by an ornate bridge over the canal with 2 boats The shops are Amy’s Antiquarian Bookstore with Mr Chang’s Grocery Store on the other bank. Above Chang’s is a power plant. The shop above the book store houses Master Wu’s Ninja Supplies. On street level, we have Cornelius Cone’s Ice Cream Parlour & the LEGO Store Ninjago District. The final storey is Benny’s Space Bar! On one side is the Bar, owned by Benny but run by his cousin Denny. Minifig punters can cross the corridor to the Club, where Lenny is King of the Decks & loud music is pumped out of the huge speakers.

All Saints Church – Micropolis Block #107

Friday, 15th March 2019 By Caz

Micropolis already has one church, St Octavius, which is built in a modern style and features an 8-sided shape with large stained glass windows all around. I’ve wanted to make a more traditional church for a while, but have only recently acquired some of the 1x2x2 glass window panes with the arched window pattern (part number 60601pb017). They fit perfectly into the tan arched window panels.
