My new project has been at least six months in the planning and thn waiting for parts… but I can finally start to make some progress!
I don’t often rush off to buy new LEGO sets on their day of release, but this year’s Chinese New Year sets were an exception. I fell in love with 80104 Lion Dance and 80105 Chinese New Year Temple Fair immediately, as I knew I wanted to combine them to make a huge temple for my Ninjago District.
I thought it was about time to showcase another of my Ninjago District MOCs. This one comprises the Squeeze Juice Bar on the Upper Walkway level, T. Bone Family Butchers, the booking office for Wu’s Water Taxis and a dock for the Shrimp Boat which brings in the catch for the nearby Shrimp Shack Diner.
When I first saw the new Hidden Side theme come along, one or two sets really stood out as being interesting – and the Shrimp Shack was one of them. I immediately thought it would make a great little seafood establishment for Blockville’s Ninjago District, and this is how I have adapted it for my city.
Some of you spotted this Ninjago District block in my last update about the project. It has been built for several months but I have not had time to edit a video for it until now. This is the Virtual Gaming Arcade, which is a very popular attraction in Blockville. Let’s take a look at the outside of each section before going inside for more details.
This is a long-overdue tour around Blockville’s Ninjago District. Watch the Ninjago District Playlist for individual videos of each block!
