I’ve been meaning to expand the watery areas of my Micropolis for some time, and have recently picked up some blue plates to make a start. This first section is Surfers’ Point, an exclusive area of the coast where well to do surfers can hire an expensive but tiny beachside house for a few days, complete with a private beach. At the end, is a small cafe providing snacks to other beach users on a sunny day. A little dinghy is out on the water, making the most of the lovely weather. Expect more watery updates soon!
As well as hosting my own segment of the LEGO Youtubers’ 72-Hour Community Livestream today, I was also a guest on Legolamaniac’s part of the event. We had a lot of fun chatting – watch the replay here.
Part of the 72-hour LEGO Community Live stream event which is happening from 12th-14th July, during my hour, I built a new Micropolis block live!
I don’t want to contemplate how much time I wasted in the late 1980’s playing Tetris on an ancient Windows PC. But the fascination for spinning and stacking the seven colourful tetrominoes has never really left me, even though I’ve not played the game in years. As a homage, I decided to build Tetris Tower, the HQ of a successful game development company in Micropolis. I had already decided where each piece would go, and then had to order in many 1×1 tiles to make it happen.
Here is a compliation of trains and Great Ball Contraption models which were on display at Bressingham Bricks recently. Enjoy.
