My big haul from Monday has given me loads of new elements to play with and the ideas for Micropolis modules are coming thick and fast, so expect a few posts over the coming days!
The first thing which I tackled was a hospital module. This was built from the 6×2 pale blue plates for curtain walls, clad with a load of black, white and red 1×2 grille tiles. The internals were rather SNOTty, but it’s reasonably sturdy if you handle it with care.

Originally I had 1×1 round trans orange tiles for the windows, but they didn’t look too good on top of the pale blue plates, so I ordered some trans light blue ones from Bricklink which fit in much better with the overall colour scheme.

I mounted the structure on top of tiling at 45° by means of a turntable piece on the bottom plate. To stop it twisting, I placed a couple of ambulances backed up to the rear as if they were delivering patients to A&E. Do you recognise the little plane flying overhead? Yes, it’s from the 2016 Christmas Build Up set I mentioned the other day. I thought it looked like a Medevac colour scheme, but I’m not sure where it will land. Hopefully an airport will appear in my little city before it runs out of fuel circling overhead!
