On 13th July, I participated in the 72 Hour LEGO YouTubers’ Community Live Stream event, taking an hour to host a slot with special guests Legolamaniac and Vega from Norway. It was a lot of fun. It was also a great way to engage with the wider LEGO community on YouTube and see new channels. During my slot, I built a Micropolis block while chatting with Legolamaniac and answering questions from the live chat. Here’s a better look at the block, which I called the Community Cube.
City Hall – Micropolis Block #126
The Micropolis Planning Department are not ones to shy away from controversial decisions, as you may be aware. But there were definitely a few raised eyebrows from the populace when the plans for the new Micropolis City Hall were revealed.
Civic Conference Centre – Micropolis Blocks #98
This half block Micropolis module started off in my head as a modern art gallery, but as I was building, the idea morphed into a Civic Conference Centre. The main atrium on the ground floor has a huge display space while the three wings on either side of the middle floor provide smaller capacity areas for medium sized conference get-togethers. The top floor contains many small meeting rooms for breakout sessions. There is a symposium on Modern Art currently taking place at the venue, with various pieces on display all around the building.
