I have recently acquired a trio of new Star Wars sets, which were fun to build. I started with set 75129 – Wookiee Gunship. It was quite a straightforward to put together, and it was great to have a Chewbacca Minifig at last.

Another iconic Minifig is Yoda, and set 75168 Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter of course included one, complete with a lightsabre almost as big as him! It also included R2D2 in his little dock on top, not the first R2 Minifig I own but you can never have too many. I like the way that the cockpit opens so that Yoda can hop out.

The last one which arrived was set 76173 Luke’s Landspeeder. I like the curves at the front of the craft and was intrigued as to how the detailing between the plates would be achieved – bendy pipes, it would seem! The model included Minifigs for Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and C3PO, as well as a Tusken Raider and Womp Rat.

So, a nice little trio which have gone on display in my LEGO cabinet, rather than being put into the general pile of bricks.
