Micropolis Flyover 2020 – Blocks #101-212 Plus Extras

Saturday, 7th November 2020 By Caz

7th November 2020 is exactly three years since I build my first Micropolis model. A lot has changed since then!

Over the course of the last 100-or so Micropolis videos, many folks have asked to see them all together.

I usually manage to film something like that when I take my models to Shows, but since I have only done one public show this year, and that was with Great Ball Contraption, I thought it was about time to do another Micropolis flyover video at home.

So this is a layout with models 101-200 plus a few extras to complete the square. It represents about half of my Micropolis models – I don’t have room to lay them all out at once!

I hope you enjoy the view!

Captain Mutant Interviews Me About My Discovery Bricks Display 2019

Saturday, 18th May 2019 By Caz

I met up with several “virtual” friends in person for the first time at the Discovery Brick Show last weekend. One of them goes by the name of Captain Mutant, who made this nice interview with me for his YouTube channel.

Micropolis On The Road – Blocks By Blockhead At Discovery Bricks 2019

Monday, 13th May 2019 By Caz

Taking Micropolis to shows is always fun. I have to start by packing the models into plastic boxes which are all carefully labelled and then stacked into the boot of my car until I am in danger of not being able to see over the top of the pile…

Once I get to a show, I already have an idea of the layout I want to display, and I take a photo reference of it to help me put things in the right place.

This year I took the largest display I have ever attempted – which measured six feet by five feet and coevered the equivalent of just over 42 regular LEGO baseplates. Here is a time lapse of the setup:
