A lot has changed in my LEGO room since I did my last Blockville update from Old Town back in February 2019!
In my first update from New Mars, I showed you the foundations, monorail and cargo train tracks being laid. This time we will take a tour around each of the areas of the base, including an on board view from the Monorail train!
Last year, I built Future Expo Park which showcased the technology and facilities which might be available in the a near Future version of Micropolis. Since then, I’ve been meaning to build an extension on a second complete block. Recently I found some of the half-built bits and pieces I had been keeping for the project, and decided I should get it finished.
Way back in February, I showed you my modification of the Airjitsu Temple from set 70751. Fast foward several months, and I have finally finished the tiling for the water surrounding the island. A colourful ship is sailing past, a modified version of Naida’s Epic Adventure Ship from Elves set 41073. A pod of dolphins appear to be playing in the water alongside the ship, around the sacred island while several Ninjas explore the Temple.
I have recently dismantled set 70838 – Queen Watevra’s ‘So-Not-Evil’ Space Palace – which I bought as a parts pack for various projects. The large petal-shaped pieces immediately took my attention, and I started fiddling around with some trans bright green round bricks to form this tower. It looked very futuristic, and thus the seed of Future Expo Park was sewn.
